MOBILE ELEVATING WORK PLATFORMS SAFETY TRAINING

The Occupational Health and Safety Act places a clear duty on employers to ensure their MEWP operators can competently operate the equipment they use in their workplace. Lakeland Occupational Health and Safety Group’s Mobile Elevating Work Platforms Training course meets the requirements of the Ministry of Labour and CSA standard B354.8

COURSE LENGTH
This course consists of a 4-hour classroom theory session to be followed by a practical driving test.
It is preferable that the practical portion be completed at each participant’s workplace or worksite, on the actual equipment the participant will be using during their workday.  This is to be scheduled soon after completion of the theory portion of the course.

Following successful completion of the course, participants receive proof-of-training wallet cards and the paperwork completed during their practical evaluation including the skills they displayed in order to prove competence.  Upon request, employers receive a record of training, attendance signatures, as well as copies of practical test paperwork and the wallet cards.
